The Dream Girl hull was constructed using a composite called c-flex. This is a fiberglass core fabric that has fiberglass rods running from stem to stern and is sandwiched between multiple laminates. Originally pioneered by Dave Sintes of Metarie LA, this method was modified by B&B Yacht Designs for the :Dream Girl" build. It is comprised of 9 layers of glass in addition to the c-flex core with all epoxy resins. The stern is Coosa and the transom bracket is formed around stringers that extend though the transom along with a heavy schedule layers of laminates of 32/16 that are contiguous to the whole bracket. The hull being for every day use was built for the most rigorous and demanding conditions. C-flex as a material creates a very strong and durable solid glass hull. The interior stringer and bulkhead grid is meranti and everything encased in 1808 glass with all epoxy construction and copious amounts of glass tabbing and additional layers of 32/16 were added to center stringers and keel. Overbuilt would be an understatement.
