The F/V “LISA GEMA” is a typical Gulf of Mexico shrimp trawler, of welded steel construction, “V” bottom hull with raked stem, square stern, flush deck with adequate freeing ports. The vessel is powered by a single CAT diesel engine. 

FUEL: Reported total fuel capacity approximately 16,000 gallons. FRESHWATER: Reported total water capacity approximately 2,500 gallons. LUBE OIL: Approximately 135 gallons.

HULL CONSTRUCTION & ARRANGEMENT: The subject vessel is an all-welded steel construction. Plating thickness is estimated as follows: Keel/Stem 1”x 6”; Bottom, sides, and transom 5/16”; Deck ¼”; Bulkheads 5/16”; Framing and deck beams 5/16” X 4” flat bar on 21” centers. Rub-rail is split 6” schedule-40 pipe. The bulwarks are 50” high forward sweeping to 30” aft, capped with 3” pipe, fitted with adequate freeing ports.The subject vessel is fitted with (3) watertight and (1) non-watertight bulkheads into the following compartments from bow to stern: First is the bow-compartment; nonwatertight bulkhead. Next aft is the engine room through a non-watertight door, Port and Starboard wing fuel tanks, lube oil tank, and engine day tank fitted in the engine room, watertight bulkhead, Fish hole; watertight bulkhead, water tank; watertight bulkhead, and aft most is the lazaret. 

DECKHOUSE CONSTRUCTION & ARRANGEMENT: The deckhouse is welded steel construction. Beginning forward is the pilothouse, with a console fitted at the forward end with the steering wheel in the center. Port and starboard watertight doors, lexan type front windows, (2) pilot chairs. Aft of the pilothouse 2 steps down port side is the captain’s cabin. Aft of the pilothouse starboard side is a formica covered dining table with built in seat lockers. Next aft is a stainless/steel double sink is fitted in to a formica covered counter with ample storage lockers above and beneath; a 4- burner gas stove is fitted between the lockers and a refrigerator. Aft of the Captain’s cabin is a 4-bunk crew cabin. Next aft is the head. Next is Next is the engine room access hatch. The engine dry exhaust exits through the deck through the deckhouse at the aft end. 

GROUND TACKLE: Vessel is fitted with a 3-sheave anchor davit mounted atop the bulwarks at the bow stem. A NORTHILL-type 200# anchor is in anchor chute shackled to chain pendant shackled to 100 fathoms of 1 ½” nylon rope, fitted with steel bitts and deck winch hoisting gear through block and tackle to cathead on trawl winch. 

LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT: Five (5) approved life jackets. (3) Life rings. (1) First aid kit. (1) ZODIAC 6-man inflatable life raft (Next inspection due June 2026) ARC 406 MHz E.P.I.R.B. Distress flares. Bilge alarm system. 

MACHINERY & PROPULSION: Vessel is propelled by a CATERPILLAR diesel engine, V-8-cylinder Model 3408 402HP, 32-volt DC electric start, with a TWIN DISC MG-514 marine reverse and reduction gear with a 6: to 1 ratio. The engine drives a single 4-bladed bronze 59” propeller inside a 61” kort nozzle via a 4” steel jumper shaft through a Douglas type steady bearing coupled to a 4” stainless steel tail shaft. The engine is equipped with lube oil pressure and freshwater temperature alarm system and day tank float alarm and is cooled through a closed fresh water-cooling system-using keel cooler. The engine is fitted with dry exhaust. Atop the console in the pilothouse is the engine controls and monitoring gauges. The stuffing box gland is properly secured. 

AUXILIARIES: 1. A 4-cylinder 4-cycle ISUSU diesel engine 40KW genset, keel-cooled and is fitted with dry exhaust, 12-volt start. The engine’s exhaust system is dry type. Steel and flexible steel pipe lagged in the engine room; mufflers located in stacks that exit through the deck through the deckhouse at the aft end. 

FISH HOLE & FREEZER SYSTEM: Subject vessel is fitted with (1) CARYLE compressors, hydraulic driven off the main engine or the auxiliary engine. The system is cooled through a keel cooler condenser. Freezer plates are mounted in the fish hold. Wood/fiberglass dip brine tank is on the deck. PUMPS: (2) wash down and bilge/fire pump, (1) 1¼” FLOMAX v-belt drive off the main engine. (1) 1¼” electric pump. (1) electric pressure on demand freshwater system. 

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT: 32-volt-DC system using eight 8-volt batteries, located in a suitable tray in the engine room, 12-volt batteries for starting auxiliaries. 100-amp alternator v-belted off main engine and a battery charger recharges the batteries. All wiring, switches, and receptacles are marine approved and appear to be in good condition. The 120/240 Electrical systems are provided by the 40KW genset. Electrical systems are protected by overload circuit breakers. The lighting system is 32-VDC and 110 VAC. 

STEERING GEAR: A wood-spoke wheel is fitted in the console in the pilothouse, mechanical steering system, using sprocket and roller chain through deck to sprocket on rotating shaft aft to sprocket and roller chain to quadrant. Fitted with quadrant stops. The rudder stock packing gland appears to be in good condition. Equipped with a COM/NAV autopilot. 

NAVIGATION & ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT:Equipped with required navigation lights. Charts, 6” magnetic compass. Fog bell. (1) FURUNO Radar (1) FURUNO GPS Navigator (1) ICOM IC- VHF (1) YAESU VHF Marine Radio Satellite Phone.

FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Fire extinguishers. All tested March 2024 Located: (2) 2 ½ # in the pilothouse (1) 10# above dining table (1) 10# in galley (1) 10# above engine room hatch (1) 10# in engine room 1 ¼” deck hoses on deck are piped to the deck from pumps in engine room. 

VENTILATION: Adequate ventilation and air conditioners. 

FISHING GEAR: Equipped with 2-drum McELROY trawl winch with two catheads, driven off the main engine PTO. To portside is a separate try-net winch driven off the main engine PTO. The winch is fitted with safety rails and cable guides. All trawl doors and nets appear to be in good condition. All the riggings, blocks, cables, ropes, etc., were inspected and were found in good condition. 

MAST, OUTRIGGERS & DECKBOOM: Steel mast. Steel aft boom and outriggers.
