INTERIOR ACCOMODATIONS AND LAYOUT
Stella Blue features a highly customized three-cabin, two-head interior finished in handcrafted teak, with raised-panel cabinetry, solid teak doors and trim, and cedar-lined hanging lockers throughout. The interior is complemented by a bamboo cabin sole with teak accent strips, Cameo White removable headliners, stainless steel concealed cabinet hinges, and furniture-grade joinery designed for both offshore durability and refined liveaboard comfort.
The yacht’s layout is centered around a spacious main saloon with an L-shaped dinette to port and a full-length settee to starboard. The raised saloon windows, opening ports, deck hatches, and light-colored headliners provide excellent natural light and ventilation, while teak trim surrounding the ports and teak facing along the interior coachroof create a warm and cohesive interior.
Forward of the saloon, a private passageway leads to the forward guest accommodations. The forward VIP stateroom features a centerline island berth, custom memory-foam mattress, extensive raised-panel cabinetry, and a dressing settee. The adjacent forward head includes a separate stall shower and may be accessed from the forward accommodation area.
Aft of the saloon to port is the versatile third cabin. This space incorporates a pull-out double berth, dedicated folding bicycle storage beneath the berth, additional lockers, and a stainless steel work surface, allowing it to function equally well as a guest cabin, workshop, equipment room, or offshore utility space.
The navigation station is positioned aft of the saloon to port and includes a large outboard-facing desk, a second computer workspace, a swing-out seat, dedicated chart storage, and extensive cabinetry. Opposite the navigation station, the full-length galley runs along the starboard passageway and provides a secure, well-braced working environment underway.
The galley passage leads aft to the private owner’s suite. The aft stateroom features a centerline queen berth with a custom memory-foam mattress, extensive hanging lockers and cabinetry, a starboard dressing settee, and generous natural ventilation through multiple opening ports and an overhead hatch. The ensuite owner’s head includes a separate stall shower and a combination washer/dryer.

MAIN SALOON
The main saloon is arranged with a large L-shaped dinette to port and a full-length settee to starboard, creating a comfortable central gathering area with excellent seating, storage, and natural light. The solid teak dinette table may be reduced in size with its removable leaf and lowered to convert the port seating area into an additional double berth.
The starboard settee incorporates a pull-out extension for use as a wider sea berth while underway. Overhead padeyes and retractable support bars are fitted along the port and starboard settees to support offshore sleeping arrangements and lee-cloth systems.

MASTER STATEROOM
The private aft owner’s stateroom is arranged around a centerline queen berth with a custom two-piece memory-foam mattress. The berth is flanked by extensive raised-panel teak cabinetry and hanging lockers, providing excellent storage for extended cruising and liveaboard use.
Three raised-panel hanging lockers are positioned along the port side. To starboard, two additional hanging lockers incorporate removable shelves and fiddles, allowing the spaces to be configured for either folded clothing or full-length hanging storage. A smaller settee is positioned beneath the starboard-side cabinetry and provides a convenient dressing seat with additional storage access behind it.
Additional storage is provided beneath the berth through two raised-panel lockers with internal partitions and removable shelving. A further hanging locker is positioned on the forward bulkhead, while a raised-panel cabinet with shelf and fiddle is located between the starboard hanging lockers and the berth.
Multiple opening ports, fixed hull ports, and a large overhead hatch provide excellent natural light and cross ventilation. Teak trim surrounds the opening ports, while the Cameo White headliner and bamboo cabin sole maintain the bright, refined finish found throughout the yacht.

Master Head

VIP STATEROOM
The forward VIP stateroom is arranged around a centerline island berth with a custom two-piece memory-foam mattress. The berth is designed with lift-up access at the forward base, supported by heavy-duty hydraulic assists, providing access to the storage compartments and the pre-plumbed area intended for watermaker membranes.
Raised-panel teak cabinetry is fitted throughout the cabin, including four overhead cabinets positioned to port and starboard above the berth, each with an internal shelf and fiddle. Additional storage is provided through two locker doors at the base of the berth and a full-height hanging locker to starboard.
A compact dressing settee is positioned adjacent to the starboard hanging locker and upholstered in Admiral HP2556 Ultraleather. Rounded berth-side shelves with raised fiddles provide convenient bedside storage while maintaining safe, snag-free edges for use underway.

GUEST CABIN (PORT)
The portside guest cabin is a highly versatile space designed to function as a private double cabin, offshore crew berth, equipment room, or workshop. The primary berth pulls out to create a double and is hinged along the outboard side to provide access to substantial storage below.
The under-berth area was specifically configured to accommodate two bicycles, with hydraulic lift assists supporting the berth platform. Additional lockers beneath the berth, including hinged drop-down compartments, provide excellent storage for cruising gear, tools, and spares.
A fixed single berth is positioned along the forward bulkhead, allowing the cabin to serve as a twin-berth crew cabin when required. A stainless steel work surface beneath the pull-out berth further increases the cabin’s utility for maintenance and passagemaking.

GALLEY
The full-length galley is arranged along the starboard passageway between the main saloon and aft owner’s stateroom. At more than 10 feet in length, the passage-style layout provides substantial countertop space, deep storage, and secure bracing on either tack, making it especially well suited for offshore meal preparation.
The galley is finished with Sahara Corian countertops and fully molded rounded fiddles. Raised-panel teak cabinetry extends along the outboard side, while additional lockers, drawers, and appliance spaces provide organized storage for provisions, cookware, galleyware, and small appliances.
Refrigeration is provided by separate Frigoboat refrigerator and freezer systems. Both compartments are top- and front-loading and are fitted with independent compressors and dedicated drain pumps. A Force 10 three-burner propane stove with oven and broiler is positioned aft of the refrigeration compartments, while a GE Advantium stainless-steel convection microwave is mounted above the countertop.
The inboard galley section incorporates a double stainless-steel sink, a dedicated espresso locker, additional raised-panel cabinetry, and a stainless U-Line icemaker. Opening ports above the galley provide natural ventilation and additional light.

NAVIGATION STATION
The navigation station is positioned aft of the main saloon to port and is arranged as a dedicated command and working area for passagemaking, vessel systems monitoring, chartwork, and onboard computer use.
The primary outboard-facing navigation desk incorporates a bi-fold desktop designed to accommodate a laptop computer while preserving usable chart and writing space. A second desk is mounted aft along the bulkhead, creating an additional dedicated computer or communications workspace.
A swing-out navigator’s seat is integrated beneath the navigation station and may be secured out of the passageway when not in use. The electrical-panel cabinet is cut away beneath the desk to allow charts to slide into dedicated storage without interfering with the seating or passage.
Raised-panel teak cabinetry and drawers provide organized storage for navigational materials, documents, files, and onboard equipment. Teak trim above the navigation station and the bamboo cabin sole maintain the same finish and joinery found throughout the yacht.

Stella Blue was built with an integrated navigation and vessel-control system centered around the Whitlock Mamba steering arrangement and a dedicated autopilot drive. Instrumentation includes Raymarine sailing displays for wind, depth, and speed information, with vessel systems and electrical equipment distributed between the helm and navigation station.
The yacht was also prepared for extended offshore communications through the installation of an SSB grounding plate. Navigation, communication, and control components should be reviewed against the yacht’s current equipment inventory, as the owner-supplied build documents do not identify the complete installed electronics package or any subsequent upgrades.

HULL
Stella Blue was constructed with a solid, hand-laid Twaron carbon-aramid reinforced fiberglass hull using alternating FRP laminates, vinylester resin, and isophthalic gelcoat. The hull is uncored, providing a robust monolithic structure engineered for offshore strength, stiffness, and long-term resistance to moisture intrusion.
Below the waterline, the hull was protected with five epoxy barrier coats as part of the original construction specification. The yacht is configured with the desirable shoal-draft keel, providing improved access to shallower cruising grounds while retaining the displacement, stability, and offshore capability associated with the Hylas 56 platform.
The keel is solid lead and secured with substantial stainless-steel keel bolts and transverse backing plates. A partially skegged rudder provides additional structural support and protection, with the bottom of the rudder positioned above the keel plane to reduce the risk of damage in a grounding.
Watertight structural divisions are incorporated at both ends of the yacht. A collision bulkhead is positioned forward of the forward cabin with independent overboard drainage, while watertight sections across the aft lazarettes and stern locker improve protection in the event of hull damage or flooding.

COCKPIT
Stella Blue’s deep center cockpit is designed for secure offshore sailing, efficient short-handed sail handling, and comfortable outdoor living. The arrangement provides substantial protection for the helmsman and crew, while keeping the primary steering, engine, bow-thruster, windlass, furling, and electric winch controls within easy reach.
The cockpit is finished with a solid teak sole and teak surfaces beneath the seating cushions. A varnished solid-teak cockpit table incorporates an insulated cooler and teak drink holders, creating a practical dining and entertaining space while also providing a secure central handhold underway.
Electric primary, secondary, and mainsheet winch controls are positioned inside the cockpit immediately forward of the winches, allowing sail trim to be managed from within the protected seating area. Four Wichard padeyes provide dedicated attachment points for safety harnesses, while the extended stainless-steel pushpit and integrated stern seats enhance security and comfort at the aft end of the yacht.

MAST AND RIGGING
Stella Blue is equipped with a Selden anodized-aluminum, triple-spreader mast configured with electric in-mast furling. The rig is designed for short-handed operation, with roller furling systems fitted to both the headsail and staysail and electric winch support available from the protected center cockpit.
The standing rigging utilizes high quality Hasselford wire and Sta-Lok mechanical terminals. Forward and aft lower shrouds are secured to individual chainplates, while the discontinuous rigging arrangement supports efficient load distribution throughout the mast and hull structure.
The rig also includes dedicated primary and secondary halyards for both the mainsail and genoa, along with a spinnaker halyard, tack line, and sheets for downwind sail handling.

ENGINE AND MECHANICAL
Stella Blue is powered by a Yanmar 4JH-series 110 HP turbocharged diesel engine coupled to a four-blade Max-Prop. The engine installation incorporates dual alternators, redundant fuel filtration, an auxiliary electric fuel-transfer and polishing pump, and an integrated oil-change system to support dependable offshore operation and simplified maintenance.
The engine is controlled from the cockpit through a Morse single-lever throttle and shift control with a complete engine alarm panel. A Whitlock Mamba direct-drive steering system provides a solid mechanical linkage between the helm and steering quadrant, while the autopilot drive is configured specifically for the Mamba steering arrangement.
Auxiliary power is supplied by a Northern Lights 6kW generator. Two CruiseAir reverse-cycle air-conditioning systems provide heating and cooling throughout the yacht, with independent 16,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU compressor units and digital controls.

PLUMBING AND TANKAGE
Stella Blue was designed with substantial stainless-steel fuel and freshwater capacity for extended offshore cruising. The tankage is divided among multiple independent tanks, allowing the crew to manage weight distribution, isolate individual tanks, and retain redundancy in the event of contamination or service requirements.
All fuel and freshwater tanks are constructed of 316 stainless steel and are fitted with threaded inspection ports, dipsticks, and larger access plates for interior inspection and cleaning. Fuel and water levels are monitored through WEMA gauges.
The freshwater system incorporates two independent Shurflo Aqua King pressure pumps, providing redundancy for the domestic water supply. A third manually operated freshwater foot pump is installed at the galley, along with a manual saltwater pump. Hot water is supplied by an Isotherm water heater heated through either the engine coolant circuit or AC electrical power.
Each head is connected to an independent holding tank. The sanitation system incorporates Jabsco electric freshwater-flush toilets, tank monitors, macerator pumps, and Sealand odor-resistant sanitation hose.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Stella Blue was built with a 12V DC and 120/240V AC electrical system configured for extended cruising, and onboard redundancy. All interior wiring is tinned, and the yacht incorporates an isolation transformer, dedicated starting and auxiliary battery banks, high-capacity charging equipment, and separate alternators for engine and house-bank charging.
The house bank is comprised of four Lifeline AGM 8D batteries providing approximately 1,000 amp-hours of capacity. Separate AGM batteries are dedicated to engine starting and the combined bow-thruster and windlass systems. Battery banks are secured in dedicated boxes and isolated through a reverse-isolation switching arrangement.
AC charging and inverter functions are supported by Mastervolt equipment, while the main engine is fitted with independent engine and house-bank alternators.
