Description

“RHINO” is one of the rarest classic American sportfishing yachts ever built—one of only five Rybovich Yachtfish models produced by the legendary Palm Beach yard. Beautifully restored by Michael Rybovich, she presents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a truly iconic example of American boat building.

Originally built in 1958, RHINO recently underwent a meticulous two-year stem-to-stern restoration, transforming her into a striking modern classic while preserving the timeless craftsmanship and pedigree that define a Rybovich. The result is a yacht that blends historic character with modern reliability, performance, and systems.

Her construction is double planked mahogany over fir, bronze fastening, and white oak framing— with planks adhered at their seams via epoxy for watertightness.

Powered by twin Cummins QSM11 715HP diesel engines, RHINO delivers impressive performance for a classic sportfisherman, cruising comfortably around 25 knots with a top speed approaching 30 knots.

The interior offers a well-appointed three-stateroom layout, including a full-beam master aft with private head and direct cockpit access, guest accommodations amidships, and crew quarters forward. The salon maintains the warm elegance expected of a classic yacht, featuring an L-Shaped settee with custom hi-low table, traditional joinery, and thoughtful detailing throughout. The galley and dinette retain the authentic Rybovich aesthetic with original cabinetry and modern appliances.

The air conditioned bridge deck showcases a varnished mahogany centerline helm with classic Rybovich gauges, modern Garmin electronics, and custom seating—combining vintage character with contemporary navigation capability.

In the cockpit, RHINO remains every bit the serious sportfisherman. Features include built-in bait freezers, livewell, tackle center and Eskimo ice maker, making her equally suited for offshore fishing or elegant cruising.

Professionally maintained and consistently cared for, RHINO stands today as both a capable sportfishing yacht and a highly collectible example of American maritime craftsmanship—a rare opportunity to own a beautifully restored Rybovich with pedigree, performance, and presence rarely seen on the market.
