There is a 6'6" V-berth with storage under in the owner's stateroom forward. To starboard there is a hanging locker and cabinet. Access to the anchor locker is forward. An opening overhead hatch and two opening ports provide light and air.

Next aft to port is the head compartment with toilet, sink, vanity, and shower with seat. Again there are two opening ports and an opening overhead hatch.

The beautifully appointed salon is next aft, boasting Island Packet's bulkhead mounted table which lowers and opens to accommodate six people; substantial storage; tankage, kept below the teak and holly cabin sole; a single settee to starboard and an L-shaped settee to port which slides out to make a double bed.

The over-size quarter-berth/aft cabin comprised of a large double berth with substantial storage below and in cabinets, and the nav station with the ship's instrument panel and a drop-down nav table large enough for serious chart work are aft to port.



The U-shaped galley is across to starboard with double sinks, 2-burner propane stove/oven, double refrigerator with freezer compartment, fresh water filtration system, dishes, flatware etc plus plenty of dry food storage space. Topside, the IP 32 boasts large, unobstructed deck and cabin top surfaces with integrated mold detail for all deck hardware. All non-skid surfaces feature a premium molded-in coarse diamond pattern. Full length cabin top handrails. double lifelines, welded bow and stern rails and a recessed foredeck with raised bulwarks ensure safety underway. Other refinements include large springline cleats, stainless steel chafe strips for docklines, mainsheet traveler control lines and an integrally molded dodger mount. The large cockpit has contoured seats and deep backrests. The premium rack and pinion steering system adds to safety and enjoyment. Easy access to every part of the engine and related equipment is provided with removable fore and aft covers. Island Packet is renowned for its advanced fiberglass construction technology. Deck laminates are engineered for high strength and reduced weight using an exclusive PolyCore system, eliminating concern for core delamination.

Afterglow sleeps seven; two in the V-berth, two in the port aft berth and three in the main salon. She is spacious and well set for moderate and extended range cruising. Throughout the boat are reading lamps, (11) polished S/S opening ports with safety glass and screens, (5) Lewmar deck hatches (head, fwd cabin, salon, aft cabin, galley) and (2)deck ventilators (dorade style w/ screens)that provide a bright and well-lit interior with plenty of ventilation to the living areas. All cushions are crafted of 5” thick foam, upholstered in premium designer fabric.

Forward Master Cabin

Forward cabin with large double V-berth, full length teak shelves outboard, large stowage lockers, cedar lined drawers under. Generous cedar lined hanging locker w/ shelf over. (2) opening ports, plus overhead hatch and varnished teak & holly sole. Privacy door to main salon and private access door to forward head.

Forward Head

Forward head w/ shower (electric drain pump) w/ teak seat, curtain on track, large vanity w/ S/S sink, hot & cold pressure water, unbreakable mirror, Formica counter w/teak trim, storage cabinets, opening port and an overhead hatch. Direct access from main salon, with separate door to the forward stateroom.

Main Salon

In the main salon, there are two settees that make it possible to sleep up to three additional people. The port side settee pulls out to convert to a double berth; the starboard settee serves as a single berth. Teak cabinets and book shelves are outboard of settees, with large stowage areas behind and under each settee.

Combination Aft Cabin/ Nav Station

The aft cabin and nav station are combined. There is a privacy curtain to enclose the entire area, plus an overhead hatch and (2) opening ports. The aft cabin has a large double berth with stowage lockers under, a full-length shelf, bureau and cedar-lined drawer. The engine can be accessed from the aft berth, as well as from behind the companionway.

The navigation station has a large hinged table, pull-out seat, generous nav/electronics cabinet w/master AC/DC electrical panel, plus room for a variety of owner-installed equipment. There is a chart stowage drawer beneath settee.
