Nex Adventure, a 1996 Carver 455 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht is a spacious cruising yacht designed for extended trips, liveaboard comfort, and entertaining. Built from 1996 through 1998 (renamed the 456 Aft Cabin MY in 1999 with minor styling updates), it remains one of Carver's most popular diesel-powered aft cabin models.
Nex Adventure just completed the Great Loop in November 2025. She has cruised the Bahamas, Florida Keys and spent much of her time in the inland rivers. This vessel is well maintained and ready to go around the Loop again.
The Carver 455's expansive salon is a standout feature, offering an open, light-filled living space rarely found in a yacht of this size. Large panoramic windows, warm maple cabinetry, and comfortable seating create an inviting atmosphere for entertaining or extended cruising. The innovative aft-galley layout maximizes the salon's living area, while easy access to the aft deck provides seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed, the salon delivers the comfort and feel of a much larger motor yacht.
The aft galley is thoughtfully designed for both entertaining and extended cruising, featuring generous countertop space, abundant cabinetry, and full-size appliances. Its open layout keeps the chef connected to guests in the salon while providing convenient access to the aft deck for effortless indoor-outdoor entertaining. Bright, functional, and well-appointed, the galley offers the storage and amenities needed for comfortable liveaboard living or extended time on the water.
The full-beam aft master stateroom offers a private, spacious retreat designed for comfort during extended cruising. A centerline queen berth, generous hanging lockers, built-in cabinetry, and abundant natural light create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The ensuite head features a separate shower stall, providing the comfort and convenience of home. Thoughtfully designed with ample storage and exceptional livability, the master stateroom is an ideal sanctuary for owners and guests alike.
The forward guest stateroom provides a comfortable and inviting retreat for family or guests, featuring a centerline island berth, generous storage, and abundant natural light. An ensuite head with separate access offers added privacy and convenience, while quality cabinetry and thoughtful appointments create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Spacious and well-appointed, this stateroom ensures guests enjoy the same level of comfort found throughout the yacht.
The versatile guest bunk room is ideal for additional family members or overnight guests, featuring over/under berths, built-in storage, and convenient access to the guest head. Nex Adventure is equipped with a dedicated electric dryer in this room, making laundry much more efficient while cruising.
The guest head is conveniently located to serve both the forward stateroom and bunk room, offering easy access for family and guests. Well-appointed with a vanity, marine toilet, and a full size bathtub with shower, it provides the comfort and functionality expected for extended cruising while complementing the yacht's spacious three-stateroom layout.
