Ernest Hamilton founded Eastern Canada’s first full-time yacht brokerage in 1979, when he could not find such a service available while looking for a larger boat. Ernest grew up around boats, his parents always having had larger power craft. Cruising in his own sailboats began over forty-five years ago with a single-handed cruise to Florida and the Bahamas in his Paceship P23. Since 1979 he has cruised extensively in his John Hannah ketch ’GLOOSCAP II’ from Bermuda to Newfoundland. His background in both sail and power boats is of great benefit to his clients as is his coastal and off-shore cruising experience. Having sold hundreds of boats over his career, he is a valuable resource for his clients. Ernest works hard to provide the highest level of service to both buyers and sellers. He was the first Canadian member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA); a professional association dedicated to accuracy of representation of boats and integrity in dealing with clients. Ernest works closely with other brokers to maximize the exposure of his listings and to provide a wide array of options for buyers.
